MONROE, NC - (February 21, 2008) – Jay Robinson Racing announced today that JVC, the primary sponsor on the #4Chevy in Daytona will continue their presence in the NASCAR Nationwide Series as primary sponsor on the #4 in California. “Daytona was a wonderful experience for JVC and good beginning to our entry into the sport of NASCAR. We did some big things over the Camping World 300 race weekend. We are currently putting together a branded #4 JVC Chevy box for our products at retail and are in the planning process of having our JVC The Perfect Experience double-wide out at select tracks for the NASCAR fans to enjoy. Overall Daytona was The Perfect Experience for JVC. We gained some valuable exposure for our brand and the new Everio Gem colored cameras, had a very productive weekend and JVC looks forward to the future in NASCAR and with the JRR Team,” said Karl Bearnarth, senior vice president, marketing, JVC Company of America.
Robert Richardson Jr. will be driving the #4 JVC Chevy in California this weekend for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Stater Bros. 300. Robert drove the #28 Chevy for the JRR Team last year at California and also has had some previous experience on the track running in the truck series. “I am ready to get back out on that track at California Speedway in the # 4 JVC Chevy and improve on last weeks finish. I am going there to race, do the best I can for our sponsor JVC and run a competitive race” said driver Robert Richardson Jr.
The NASCAR Nationwide Series Stater Bros. 300 race at California International Speedway is the second primary race for JVC. The sponsorship agreement is a year long relationship between JVC and JRR, which include three more primary races for JVC at Vegas, ORP and the first trip the Nationwide Series takes to Lowe’s. “We are glad to have JVC on board for the mini west coast trip before we come back for our only appearance in Atlanta and JRR is focused on making a competitive effort beginning at California,” said Owner Jay Robinson.
